I’m trying to commit to my SVN repository via Tortoise SVN/Windows 7 and I’m getting the following error on the same file:

Error: Commit failed (details follow):
Error: Cannot write to the prototype revision file of transaction ‘72-1o’ because a
Error: previous representation is currently being written by another process

Any help in resolving this would be great.

I should maybe add that this is the first time I’ve made a commit in several months.

Botchka,

I believe this is a client side issue. Please make sure you are using the latest version of TortoiseSVN.

I’m having this same issue. I’m commiting with the latest versions of both Tortoise SVN and Subeclipse. It seems to happen when trying to commit larger files or large groups of smaller files. I can commit small files one at a time with no problem but trying to commit a lot of small files at once gives me this error. Perhaps the size of the commit is causing this?
